April 2020 Photo Contest Results Are In!
The people have spoken!
It’s 4/20 and our first monthly photo contest has come to an end. We had 18 entries ranging from mesmerizing garden shots to photos of beautiful glass art. Votes were tallied and automatically posted to the gallery page at midnight. Read on for details!
We’d first like to say congratulations to our winners and THANK YOU to everyone who’s celebrating cannabis-inspired art with us.
Each month, we will announce our photo contest winners and give a brief description of the artist and subject of each photo. This month we had bud shots claim all three top spots, and one of our contestants, @chowda420, won both first and second place!
Here’s our breakdown of the April 2020 photo contest results, starting with our third-place winner.
Third Place: @the_chronickk
Had to reach into my first ADE kit!
This month’s third place winner is a mouth-watering shot by my brother (from another mother) Nick “@the_chronickk” Dellipizzi. Nick is a cannabis connoisseur and industry expert who’s been helping me analyze the best genetics we can get our hands on since 2008. By the looks of this shot, you can tell not much has changed in that department!
Nick is a truly gifted terp talker who thoroughly enjoys documenting his favorite strains, so it’s no surprise that one of his selections won the eyes of our audience. The Gelonade shown in his winning picture was grown and bred by industry pioneers Connected Cannabis Co. (@connected.california on IG).
Second Place: @chowda420
Coming in second is a shot submitted by another longtime friend of ours who goes by the name “Chowda420” on dev.potography.com. We’ve been exchanging knowledge about genetics, grow techniques, and all sorts of cool stuff for years, and we’re happy to see the community showing him love! You might know him as @the_regular_grow on Instagram, and his second-place photo displays a beautiful GG4 plant starting to swell in mid-flower.
First Place: @chowda420
Chowda420’s first place contest winner is a bud shot of some homegrown G.M.O. The shot beautifully highlights the chunky bud structure, purple coloration, and insane trichome production of the G.M.O. We can only imagine how much of a pleasure she was to smoke! Well done on both the growing and photography by Chowda420!
We deeply appreciate the support from all of our friends who entered the photo contest and voted, and we hope to see you back next month with new submissions! Remember, we’ll be running these contests monthly starting on May 1st, so gather your best bud shots and mark your calendars!
See you next month!
